Terms & Conditions

Booking conditions and procedures
Booking conditions and procedures apply to all guests intending to travel with SafariWise.
Reservations
Bookings of tours/safaris are made through the offices of SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) only. Upon confirmation, a non-refundable deposit of 15% is required and the booking becomes binding and the terms and conditions, as contained herein, become enforceable.

Cancellation Policy
If it becomes necessary to cancel your holiday, you must notify SafariWise immediately in writing. Cancellation will take effect upon receipt and acknowledgement of your cancellation. Cancellations fees apply as follows:

More than 60 days Loss of deposit
59-31 days 35% of the total cost of the package
30 days or less No refund

Final payment is due 60 days prior to tour/safari start date or as indicated in the final agreed-upon itinerary.

Travel Insurance
SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) carries compulsory motor vehicle insurance and a detailed motor accident policy. Personal Travel Insurance is compulsory to all individual participants for the full duration of the tour/safari and forms part of the booking conditions. Mentioned insurance must cover personal injury, medical expenses, loss of luggage and the expenses associated with cancellation or curtailment of a tour/safari.
Health
The client acknowledges being aware of the proposed itinerary and hereby confirms that he or she is medically fit, in good health and is able to embark upon the tour/safari. Any client with a pre-existing medical condition or illness must declare the true nature of such condition at the time of booking. SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) cannot be held responsible for the provision of drugs or treatment that may be required during the tour/safari.
Malaria
Guests intended visiting Botswana, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Mozambique, Mpumalanga (Eastern Transvaal), Namibia, and Zambia are advised to commence taking anti-malaria prophylactics before their intended visit. Please check with your local pharmacy/drugstore or medical doctor. As for inoculations, consult the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website at: http://wwwn.cdc.gov/travel/default.aspx.
Minimum Numbers
All tours/safaris are based on a minimum of 4 participants, or as stipulated in the itinerary.
Travel Documents
A passport, with minimum 6 months validity, on your return date to your country of residence/origin, is required. Please check visa- and vaccination requirements as SafariWise takes no responsibility for passports or visa’s.
Liability & Responsibility
Neither SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia), nor any person acting for, through or on behalf of, shall be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever and without restricting the generality of the foregoing shall particularly not be responsible for loss or damage arising from any errors or omissions contained in it's brochure or other literature, late or non-confirmation or acceptance of reservation, loss or damage caused by delays, accidents sickness, injury or death, whether occasioned by negligence or not with the exception of gross negligence on the part of SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) or its duly authorized employees
Wild Animals
Clients may come into close physical contact with wild animals during tours/safaris.
Accommodation
Accommodation is as specified in the itinerary or brochure. The use of specific accommodation is subject to availability. SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) reserves the right to make use of alternate accommodation. This will in no way affect the price of the tour/safari.
Transportation
Vehicles provided are large enough to accommodate the number of passengers and luggage. All drivers are licensed in terms of SA & Namibian legislation. All vehicles comply with relevant safety regulations. SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) reserves the right to utilize different sizes or types of vehicles to those indicated depending on demand and availability.
Delays
SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) shall not be responsible for the consequences of any delays whether arising from flights, accidents, breakdowns or any other cause.
Law & Jurisdiction
The law of the Republic of South Africa shall govern the relationship between SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) and its clients. The parties consent to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate's Court in respect of any dispute, action or proceedings, which may arise between SafariWise (South Africa & Namibia) and the client.
